About

Why the site was created

Tibetan texts on astrology were kept a secret for a long time. Now the information is more available, normally through Lama Astrologists, but still it is rare, scattered and not easy to understand. There are major differences compared to Western and Vedic astrology approaches.

The intention of the site is to systematize the information from various sources and present it in a comprehensive way to a wide audience. At the same time, the site considers all nuances which influence the accuracy of the forecasts: shift of the animal of the year, difference between male and female etc.

It provides the fullest information on the major Buddhist holidays and special days and gives advice on daily practice and rituals.

How to read the site

The site gives the general overview of the energy and auspiciousness of the current day, and provides classical recommendations what is favorable and what is unfavorable. This information is common for all the people.

However, based on the individual birth date, there can be major differences e.g. favorable or unfavorable year and month. And later within these larger periods one can find more and less auspicious days, e.g. you can see which date is more favorable to start a new project, to have a wedding etc. One can see his personal good and bad weekdays and consider this in planning and scheduling his life. Of course it will not solve all the problems, but will contribute to good luck and success, less or no resistance of the world and circumstances in achievement of the desired.

The essence of Tibetan astrology

Tibetan astrology is more than prediction — it is an art of conscious living in harmony with the rhythms of time. Rooted in wisdom, compassion, and precise calculations tested for centuries, it is a reliable tool to bring balance, health, and prosperity into daily life. It is also a practical system of prevention and correction, helping to transform unfavorable situations into opportunities.

This tradition has multiple sources:

  • Bon — the pre-Buddhist religion of Tibet, which introduced the system of five elements and early astrological practices.
  • Chinese astrology — incorporated during the 7th century, bringing the animal cycle and element system.
  • Buddhist teachings from India — especially the Kalachakra Tantra, which contains a full section on astrology.
  • Vedic knowledge — further enriching the system with additional methods and calculations.

All these streams were integrated into a comprehensive system, preserved in classical texts such as the White Beryl by Desi Sangye Gyatso (1653–1705).

The information is curated by a practicing professional astrologist with proven results, whose clients have improved wealth, health, and spiritual practice.
